The four ways Kick streamers actually earn

Subscriptions: the 95/5 split

Kick takes 5% of subscription revenue and leaves you 95%, which is the most creator-friendly split of any major streaming platform. Twitch takes 30 to 50% depending on your contract. One catch worth knowing: community reporting says the full 95/5 rate applies while you stream exclusively on Kick, and multistreaming the same broadcast elsewhere can cut the split to roughly half.

To unlock subs you need Affiliate status. Kick's bar has historically been 75 followers and 5 streamed hours; check your Creator Dashboard for the current requirement, because Kick adjusts it without much announcement.

The Creator Incentive Program, and the "$16 an hour" thing

The claim you see everywhere ("Kick pays $16 an hour") comes from the Kick Creator Incentive Program, and it is real but gated. KCIP is an hourly payment Kick makes to Partners who hit sustained viewership numbers; community reporting puts the bar around 100 average concurrent viewers with 50+ hours streamed across 15+ days in a month, and the rate between $16 and $32 per hour depending on performance. Tips and donations: the only income with no threshold

Kick has no built-in donation button, so streamers link an external tip page in their channel bio and panels. That is good news for small channels: a tip page works at zero followers, and viewers who want to support you directly usually prefer it over subs because more of the money reaches you.
