Look at alternatives when the coffee framing does not fit your audience (streamers especially), when you want supporters to cover fees so a $10 tip arrives as $10, when you need payouts PayPal and Stripe serve poorly, or when you want a wishlist and storefront on the same page as tips.

Two things the table hides. Processing fees come out of the creator's side, so a $10 tip lands as roughly $9.40. And payouts ride PayPal or Stripe, so if neither serves your country well, Ko-fi does not either.
When Ko-fi is the right call
- Your audience knows the "buy me a coffee" gesture and responds to it (artists and writers especially).
- You want memberships and a shop under one roof and $12 a month for Gold is fine.
- PayPal works well in your country and for your supporters.
